For the development of the advanced dynamic simulation method for energy performance assessment in the ePANACEA project, the simulation tool should preferably fulfill the following prerequisites:
(1) be open source
(2) free of charge
(3) able to capture HVAC system modelling and sizing
(4) load calculation
(5) lighting system modelling
(6) air flow simulations and
(7) modularity
while also complying with the EPBD and thus in line with relevant CEN/ISO standards.
