The ePANACEA project is part of the Next Gen EPCs cluster with 10 more Horizon 2020 projects. VITO, partner of ePANACEA, represented the project in the U-CERT & X-tendo final conference. The event took place in Brussels on 6 July 2022, organised by BPIE & REHVA. The conference consisted of two sessions, “Current status of EPCs and overview of the projects’ results” and “Next-generation Energy Performance Certificates: how to get there?”. The ePANACEA project was part of the discussions of the second session.
The conference highlighted the main results and prepared the floor for the exploitation of the outputs, both at EU and national levels of the above Horizon 2020 projects. While the X-tendo project has by design a modular structure covering 10 features (smart readiness indicator, comfort, outdoor air pollution, real energy consumption, district heating, EPC databases, building logbook, tailored recommendations, financing options, one stop shops), the U-CERT project has a specific recipe still allowing flexibility (convergence of calculation methodologies with the EPB standards, user-centred approach with a nudging effect, indoor environmental quality, smart readiness indicator, measured building performance and operational rating).
