The ePANACEA project participated in Sustainable Places 2021, on 29 September. The “Building Energy Performance Certificates: The Enabler Smart Readiness Indicator” workshop’s main goal was to support the European Commission services (and contractors) and the EU Member States in the upcoming Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) national testing and the ongoing development of the SRI method C (in-use smart performance – quantitative assessment), and possibly other, e.g., ensure an energy performance of buildings (EPB) coherence framework for all instruments to flawlessly work together, including energy performance certificates (EPCs), Digital Building Logbooks, Renovation Roadmaps & Passports, Level(s), etc..
The primary result of the workshop was finding ways to utilise ongoing coordination, support, and innovation initiatives in favour of the EU climate and energy goals in the subsequent stages of the SRI’s implementation and further development, as well as in how the SRI will be incorporated into the set of instruments.
